Isle au Haut

So after a couple of days,.....we finally arrived in Stonington, Maine. There we had some home-made ice cream at a little ice cream store and then we went to load our things on to the boat. Uncle Leo and uncle Jerry, John and Mike arrived a little later, and so we loaded all our things together in two big boxes and then, with a bunch of other people we drove off. It was an about 45 minute ride. We unloaded and carried all our things up to the house which is not far away at all from the wharf. Julianna, Emmi and I were in one big room.
During the week we had lots of activities: We played Yahtzee all the time, we went to church, went to an auction for the local school , went to the light house, we ( or most of us ) even went for a long hike and Julianna, Mike and Ryan even jumped into theAtlantic Ocean. We cleaned th Opel, went to Long Pond to wash several times, and lots of other things.

Six Flags!!!

So a couple days after the party we started our trip to Isle au Haut. Sadly Ana couldn't come all the way with us, but she came with us to our first stop: SIX FLAGS!!!!Aunt Joanne and Ryan didn't come, so uncle Walt, Ana, Julianna, Emily and I went by ourselves. It wasn't very warm that day, well, not warm enough for the water park, so we just went on roller coasters. Superman was closed for a checkup, but that didn't really affect me because I don't like big drops. All five of us went on Blizzard river and while we were in line we saw aunt Suzanne, Chelsea and Micheal and met up with them after the ride.
After we had had lunch Julianna remembered that last year when we were at six flags, I had promised to go on batman the next year. So we went to stand in line. It went very slowly and by the time it was our turn to go on, which was about 2 hours later, I was pretty scared. Then we were all buckled in and the ride began. i sat in the middle between Julianna and Ana. They said i would wanna go again after the ride, but I wasn't too sure about that. Now just for those of you who don't know what kind of roller coaster batman is , here's a picture from the internet ( you're not allowed to take pictures in the ride )..........
and a hint : It is very loopy, I think they're are like seven loops!!!! the ride was really short, but it was totally worth it. After we got off I said Oh my god, I wanna go again", because seriously....it was AWESOME!!!!!

So we spent the rest of the day on fun rides, then aunt Suzanne, Chelsea and Micheal took Ana home and the rest of us ( the Cogswells and I ) drove to a comfort inn and stayed there over night. It'd been a fun day!!

The party

Everyone already came on friday exept uncle roy who came on saturday.Around noon Julianna's friends started coming. In the end there were about six of them. Then Keenan and Dave came and we all kind of just hang out, played badminton and listened to Citizen Genet. It was a fun day!!

Just hanging out

In the next couple of days we just hung out at grandmas house and then on friday we drove halfway to meet aunt joanne and went home with her.

Detroit to New York

On Tuesday we left pretty early to go to the airport. There we had to pay the 50 dollars for unaccompanied minor, which I didn't have to pay on the way to Detroit. Caitlin' s mom, Erin and Caitlin got a pass to go through security and after I got on the plane they had to wait until it took off. At first I sat next to two broad shouldered me, then the stewardess came ( she called me Danielle...lol)and asked them if they wanted to change seats. They said they were fine , so she left with a skeptical look, but came back after 5 minutes asking me to come with her. I wondered what the problem was, but followed her and she led me to a seat in business call. It was so awesome!!! I had two seats for myself, probably the seats the two men would have gotten if they agreed to have been moved. I was really happy.
We had to wait for about half an hour for the plane to take off because there were so many other planes in line to take off. In Business class you get your drinks in a real glass instead of a plastic cup and you get snacks on short flights.
The stewardess told me to stay seated and when everyone was off the plane she guided me out into the terminal where another 2 flight attendends waiting for me. I hung out with them , sat behind the counter while they checked 2 flights and then went with them to a northwest "common room" and hung out there. Then after about four hours we waited in front of McDonalds and then Mom and Dad appeared. Dad had to sighn omething and then the three of us got on a bus to grand central. Then we took the train to NewBurgh where grandma and grandpa were waiting for us. It was pretty late when we got home.

Milford memories fair

On Saturday I had blue ( food colored) waffels for breakfast and then we drove to Milford memories fair and looked around. There was one stand with recycled fur coats made into tedddy bears and fluffy hair ties. Then we ate lunch at Taco Bell and when we got home we played DDR ( I'm getting better) and then we went into the pool and stayed there for a while until we got cold. Then we just chillaxed and in the evening we watched ^................^.

Frankenmuth

On Friday we got up at 7 o'clock , ate breakfast and drove an hour to Frankenmuth, which is a bavarian village which was built in 1885. We walked around and went in some of the shops, including a chocolate store, where I bought a couple chocolate covered marshmallows. The lady at the store let us try a sample of ^ a chip munk^, which is chocolate which crushed potatoe chips. It was delicious. Then we went in several souvenir shops, walked across the wooden bridge , I got a gigantic piece of gum, and went home. At home we ate lunch with Caitlin's grandparents, who were watching Max and went swimming. Then we had homemade pizza for dinner and then we had a nice camp fire and we made jiffy pop, which is popcorn made over a fire. And we had s'mores. :) The pictures around the camp fire didn't turn out too good. I had my hoody over my head and my sun glasses , so I looked like Eminem ( a rapper). Then Erin, Aubrey and I watched ^ Ella Enchanted^----> a good movie, and when it was over Aubrey was already asleep, so she slept downstairs with me.

Relaxing at home

On Thursday we stayed home, went in the pool, played with Max and relaxed. In the evening we were going to have a camp fire , but when we had everything set up it started raining and so we watched ^ Agent Cody Banks 2^.

This is a picture of a lilly in the pond.
And this is a picture of Aubrey reading her AP book.

Baseball

Today I slept late, then sang a little and then it was already time for lunch. I had Mac&Cheese.
We left at about 2:30, drove to Detroit, took the people mover to this place with fountains and saw the bridge going to Canada and Canada's coast side. Then we took the people mover to Greek town and ate at a Greek restaurant called Pegasus. The waitress came with two plates, lit them on fire and yelled ^hupa^ . That was awesome!!! Then we went to the car to get our rain coats just in case it rained. It was really humid that day and there were dark clouds everywhere. So we went to the baseball game: Detroit tigers vs. Tampa Bay Devil Rays. We had really good seats. They were high up, but they were right behind the batter. It was a really good game and the tigers won 9:6. We left before it was over because we didn't want to get run over by the crowd. We got home at around 10:30 and watched one of my favorite movies called ^ What a girl wants^. Then we went to bed.

Hard labour

When I woke up on Monday the first thing I saw was Max's snout in my face.....so cute!!!! We played DDR, then SingStar and while Caitlin's parents went to the store we filled in the spaces between the path leading to the pool. In order to do that we had to drive with the lawn mower to the back of the yard, load stones into a little carry-on thing then spray them off and then fill them in the gaps in the walk path. It was fun. When we were done I sprayed myself without intention.
Then when it got nicer we went into the pool and then we made Shish-Kabobs. It was so good that after dinner I was stuffed.
Afterwards Caitlin and I played cards and then we played DDR. We called it a night because we were really tired.

Fondue

On sunday we slept late. When I woke up it was raining outside- the first rainy day since I've been here. We played with Max, played SingStar in teams for a while , while Caitlin's mom and dad set up their new flat screen TV. It's amazing!!! It has a diameter of over a meter !!!! Around 4 o'clock we went to Meijers which is similar to Walmart, just bigger. I got lots of post cards, mascara and some gum there. When we came back we unloaded the groceries and started helping cutting cake, bread and strawberries up for the fondue we were going to have. The first course was dipping pieces of bread and apples into a cheese fondue. The second course was dipping chicken, beef, shrimp, and mushroom into hot oil, and the third course was dipping bananas, strawberries and pieces of cake into a chocolate fondue. It was so good that we couldn't stop eating and afterwards we were totally stuffed. After dinner I sang while Aubrey played the piano and then the whole family sat down in the living room to watch an old movie called ^Overboard^ which is cool. After Caitlin's parents and Caitlin had gone to bed, Aubrey , Erin , Max( the dog), and I started watching a Jackie Chan movie. After brushing our teeth and so on we all slept in front of the TV.

Staying home again

On Saturday we stayed home, spent most of the day int the pool ,played DDR and SingStar , played with Max and in the evening we watched ^Oceon's twelve^ which is really cool.

This is me in front of their beautiful pond. There are lots and lots and frogs in the pond.

Staying home

On Friday we just hung out , went into the pool, and played waterball with Catilin's neighbour Sarah. We played with Max----> SO CUTE , we played SingStar and Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), which Aubrey is a master at , yet again and watched ^Coming to America^, which is an awesome movie.

Greenfield village

On thursday we went to Greenfield village which is a village with old, historical buildings in it. There is a printing press house, a glass house and many others and when you go in you can find people dressed up in an old-fashioned way and they tell you how people lived in older days. It was very interesting , but walking aroud it was really hot. After eating lunch we went to the Henry Ford museum and saw ots of really cool stuff like fancy cars: , the car John F. Kennedy was assasinated in, lots of awesome guitars and cars of famous musicians.
Then we went to Caitlin's grandparents house and hung out there with one of her cousins. After about 1 and a half hours we went back home and went into the pool.In the evening we watched ^ Catch me if you can^ which is a good movie.
